CUSTOMER TERMS · VERSION 2026-07-21

Terms of Service

Effective July 21, 2026

The rules that apply when using the Akidos Studio website, requesting a quote, or purchasing a custom project.

Plain-language summary

A submitted project is a request for review, not an automatic production commitment. Work begins only after Akidos approves the scope and the customer approves the final quote.

01

Eligibility and agreement

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. By using the site, submitting a project, approving a quote, or paying an order, you agree to these Terms, the File Authorization & Production Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, the Shipping & Delivery Policy, and the Privacy Policy.

If you act for a company or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind them.

02

Quotes and order acceptance

Website previews, automated estimates, file uploads, and saved projects are not final quotes or promises to manufacture. Akidos may review geometry, material, finish, quantity, timing, intellectual-property concerns, safety, and available capacity before accepting an order.

A final quote describes the approved scope, price, quantity, fulfillment method, and estimated schedule. Akidos may decline any project before acceptance. Changes requested after approval may require a revised price and schedule.

03

Payment, taxes, and pricing

Payment is due as stated in the approved quote. Prices are in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable sales tax, shipping, delivery, special handling, or approved change charges may be added before payment.

Payments are processed by Stripe or another disclosed provider. A payment is not complete until confirmed. Akidos may pause or cancel production when payment fails, is reversed, or is disputed in error.

04

Custom manufacturing and tolerances

3D printing naturally includes layer lines, seams, support marks, minor color variation, shrinkage, warping, and dimensional variation. Critical dimensions, fits, threads, loads, surfaces, and tolerances must be identified in writing before quoting.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, parts are prototypes or custom goods and are not certified for medical, food-contact, electrical, automotive-safety, aerospace, child-safety, pressure-bearing, structural, or other regulated uses. The customer is responsible for final validation in the intended application.

05

Customer files and prohibited work

You must have the rights and authority described in the File Authorization & Production Policy. Akidos may request proof of permission and may reject protected, unlawful, unsafe, weapon-related, deceptive, or otherwise inappropriate projects.

Akidos review is not legal clearance, engineering certification, or a guarantee that every file defect or licensing restriction has been identified.

06

Fulfillment, delays, and communications

Pickup and carrier shipping are governed by the Shipping & Delivery Policy. Production and delivery dates are estimates unless Akidos expressly guarantees a date in writing.

If an online merchandise order cannot ship within the promised time, Akidos will request consent to the delay or provide the cancellation and refund option required by applicable law. Keep your email and delivery information current and review order updates promptly.

07

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and preliminary previews are provided without a guarantee that a project is printable, suitable, lawful, or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Akidos is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate customer specifications, undisclosed intended use, misuse, unauthorized files, or modifications made after delivery. Any liability will be limited as permitted by applicable law and evaluated in light of the affected order.

08

Governing law, changes, and contact

These Terms are governed by California law. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve a dispute directly. Any court proceeding will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction serving Sacramento County, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms for future use of the service. Questions may be sent to akidos.studio@gmail.com or +1 (279) 758-1840.
